A holiday iPhone painting I made in SketchBook while waiting for the turkey to come out of the oven. I wish I had smaller fingers. Painting on this little screen is rather difficult.

Yeah! The first snow of the year.
I got up early and set up my d700 to shoot some time-lapse footage and was rewarded with some nice shots. I thought I would make a snowman film for Silas and halfway through making it the neighbors saw what I was up to and joined in on the fun. It was a very fun morning.
winter is upon us
A maya/zbrush sculpt.
For the most part I made this in zbrush 4. I retweeked the topology to work better for me in maya. It was rendered in zbrush with an AO pass. It took about a day to model and paint. For those who are into this sort of thing, below is the wireframe.
I made this crayon drawing a few fews ago. There isn’t much to say about it. I just thought I would share.
DeSeve is a romanticized fellow. The kind of man who has everything together.
Wakefield admires his coolness and calm straight forward nature. He is a real easy going fellow. A mans man. The John Wayne type who always knows what to do. He is considered to be a man of action.
Over time we learn that he is no of these things. In trueth he is a fake. A fraud. DeSeve is nothing more than actor playing playing a role. Under pressure he is the first to turn tail and run.
I found this drawing sitting under a pile of hats in my room. Its one of those, wake up at two in the morning and draw while your half asleep drawings. It is a design from the Wakefield project.
A rough model of a mountain city I made in Maya late one night last month. I may take it into zbrush and paint it up if I have time.It had been sitting in one of my folders for a while and I thought it would be best to share it before it fades away. Its fun. I like it.
A few loose ArtRage images floating around my media library.
Good ‘ol USC film Production. I’m really proud that I went to a film school when you could still call it a film school.
If I remember correctly my freshman year was the last 190 class there actually shot everything on super 8. I searched high and low just to find a decent super 8 camera. Oh how I loved my Beaulieu 4008 ZMII, she was a beautiful thing. I still think she puts my little sony HD camera to shame. I love film, everything just looks better. Now I fully admit that digital has made great strides in the last few years. Its sharp and clean but almost too much so. Its on the verge of being sterile. Thats fine for some people but me I prefer the buttery imperfection of film. I’ve always found it to be a bit magical.
A USC Cinema 310 project that I made in collaboration with Fabrice Lorenceau.
A super8 films I shot for my USC Cinema 180 class. This was my take on Noir.
A super8 films I shot for my USC Cinema 180 class. Shot late at night at the USC school of Fine Arts printing lab. The etching in the film was something I was working on at the time.
shot with a home made dolly and the amazing beaulieu 4800 Z2 super8 camera. God I love that camera.
A super8 films I shot for my USC Cinema 180 class. Shot on location at the family vineyards. (Robert Young Estate Winery).
Totally pointless but really fun to make.
(THE AUDIO TRACK IS LOST) the film makes no sense without the narrator.
A USC Cinema 310 project I made in colaboration with Fabrice Lorenceau. At the time we were trying to make a live action cartoon. Shortly after this I put down my camera and made the switch to animation.
