This sketchbook was made while I was a student at USC Animation. It is dated spring to summer 2003. The bulk of the work explores a thesis proposal I was working on with Daisy Church called Kalifia. There are also a few drawings from Vanguard Animation in here. Daisy and I had just started interning at Vanguard while they were in production on Valiant. We were tasked with organizing the art library. While there I was inspired and spent my free time drawing. This got me noticed, the film packed up and moved to London but I stayed behind as a development artist for future projects.
