Oak on the Hill
On the hill behinds mom’s looking east. It was a burn day and smoke from the neighbors left a thin veil over the valley
The Village Corner
Looking south from the parking lot in Ross towards the Village Corner and Breaking Away Bicycles. If you look close at the POV pic you will see the new panel holder I’ve been developing. It’s of my own design, ultra light weight, made with carbon arrow shafts, some milled aluminum and mahogany.
Lake Elizabeth Spillway
Looking south across lake Elizabeth towards the spillway. The cows were about and their calves came over to watch me paint. This was all fun and good but I was a little nervous when the bull strolled up and lingered just behind me.
Morning Light
Looking south down from the Greenbrae side of Corte Madera Creek towards Larkspur. First painting in a week or two that went together without a lot of color revisions.

I took the boys to play catch at the park today. Looking west towards Mt. Tam

Looking south from the hill above the solar farm on a burn day. Very bright late morning with lots of smoke haze from the neighbors clearing brush.
From the Junkyard
Looking west towards my uncle Fred’s house from the junkyard overlook after sunset.
Jack Rabbit Country
I was on the north side on the ranch this morning and I set up in the fog. It cleared as I was laying in the underpainting but I struggled to match the new lighting. Mistakes were made. It took an extra pass to paint back in the missing saturation and contrast. I used too much titanium.
