Watercolor sketchbook Posted 2012/06/25 by Sterling Here is a complete posting of my latest water color sketchbook. Dick and Don have a run in with some goons. As my son would say. I broke the train. I bought this sketchbook while waiting outside a movie theater for my cousin. Just got it to kill some time. Tigers do not make good pets. But kitten do. I hang out the beach, here in Hong Kong a lot with my boy. He plays with his ball and digs in the sand. I draw. A very patriotic steam train drawing. The the little red Caboose, little red Caboose, coming behind the train- By Henry Thomas is one of our favorite songs these days. a little farther down the line way out west Dick and Don, Zooming through the streets of Hong Kong in a side car. Some random drunken master doodles and the beginning of some Black Lotus thumbnail boards. the badguys are always one step behind in this storyboard sequence. Things are getting rough for the boys. The preasure is getting to them. A lot of fuss for something so little and a few more character explorations. character doodles and explorations. people around townâ¦ from my head. This is not a very nice fellow. Walking the streets of Hong Kong He’s running out of gas and the ladies in the park are singing. getting off the ship after a month without bathing is a lot harder than getting on. I’m facinated by old Hong Kong, particularly the old waterfront. It must have been amazing back in the day. My dad passed away recently. The drawing on the right I made the night he fell into a coma. He was a brilliant fisherman and most of my fondest childhood memories took place out on the water with him. I still love fishing and always will rember him this way. While waiting for my Dads funneral Corey Jackson and Devin Wesberg came to the rescue. They showed up with a case of beer and kept me up late into the early morning, just drawing and talking. It was exactly what I needed at that moment. This is the record of that event. Thanks guys. Its derby time. Drawing at the horse track. My boys Rudie and Wiley at seven months. My Son Silas and I are crazy about trains. Especially the big loud ones that make a lot of smoke. The Glendale train goes steaming on down the line. The James Brothers! Jesse and Frank make a name for themselves robbing trains. Case Jones doing his thing. Its Casey Jones. What did you expect? Everybody jump. Kids are watching.
