Standing by the compost pile wasn’t awesome but the light on the cactus this afternoon was so… here’s another color study. On a technical note, I’m trying a new underpainting wash that’s more ocher and a new panel seal from Michael Harding that’s less absorbent. I think the ocher base is working better with all this dry grass. 1.5hr
Found my motivation way too late. After dragging my heals I finally made it out the door only to realize my light was gone. I quickly set up in the gravel driveway and slopped some paint onto a panel just to have a go at it. Had about 40mins to paint before I couldn’t see anymore. Cleaning up in the dark is a pain.
